Assam Pedas Nyonya Paste

A well known dish served in most parts of S.E.A. This secret family recipe passed down 4 generations uses a complex blend of spices giving it an appetising balance of sour, sweet and spicy flavour.

Nyonya Assam Pedas Fish (Approx 15mins) Serves 2 – 3

  1. Fry paste till fragrant.
  2. Add 250ml water and 500g of fish steaks. Boil in mid heat till cooked
  3. Add preferred vegetables (eg, brinjal, lady finger, tomato) and cook for 5 – 7mins till ready.
  4. Remove fish, vegetables and boil down sauce to required thickness
  5. Squeeze lemon/lime in sauce to taste

Cooking tips

  • Add a little water should the sauce dries up during cooking.

娘惹亚参酸辣鱼 (约 15分钟) 2 – 3 人份

  1. 将酱料炒香。
  2.  倒入250毫升的水并加入500克的鱼柳。用慢火煮5分钟。
  3. 加入适意的蔬菜(例如, 茄子, 羊角豆, 番茄),用慢火煮5-7分钟至煮熟。

  5. 将柠檬/酸橙挤入酱汁中调味
